Essential Job Functions Include:

  • Represent VOA professionally and appropriately at all times for incoming visitors and callers.
  • Make a great first impression for the Organization as the face and the voice of VOA.
  • Answer multi-line telephones, direct telephone traffic, draft and respond to email, perform general receptionist duties.
  • Keep treatment staff directory up to date.
  • Filing for and scanning for treatment services.
  • Regular handling of incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Maintain an awareness of the activity in the building to direct incoming visitors and communication.
  • Assist with the flow of information and communication in the Administrative Office.
  • Act as a resource for coordinating various activities for the Administrative departments.
  • Provide clerical support for various Administrative, Accounting, and Human Resource activities.
  • Be familiar with accounting and clerical concepts and apply knowledge as needed for specific tasks.
  • Assist with special projects and activities as needed for the various departments.

Other Job Functions Include:

  • Participate in the compilation of newsletters and direct mailings to donors.
  • Regularly assist other staff with special projects.
  • Occasionally travel on company business utilizing personal vehicle.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit at a computer station for extended periods of time in order to complete essential job functions.
  • Ability to escort visitors within the office.
  • Ability to move or transfer items throughout the facility generally weighing 0-50 pounds.

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong computer skills and an ability to work effectively with a variety of computer software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, and desktop publishing.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to regularly and effectively deal with employees, staff, and the public.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines under pressure.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with five years experience in closely related field, or an Associate's Degree in Business plus two years of related work experience.
